Our hangi today was a success. We came to school and the fire was already raging. We got to leave class to watch the food being put inside the hole and then we ate our hangi after lunch.

We have scrubbed and cleaned our vegetables and have wrapped them in tin foil ready to go into the hangi tomorrow. We will eat our hangi food between one and one thirty and any parents are welcome to come and join us.

Thanks to everyone for bringing in lots of vegies for our hangi. Today we played 'Vegie shops' with them.

Parents don't forget that we are having a hangi this Thursday. Please don't send too much lunch in for your child. We will be eating the hangi around 1 - 1.30pm. Don't forget to bring in 2 vegetables before then - carrots, potatoes, or kumara. Yum!

Our Assembly

We enjoyed hosting the School Assembly this week. We did a play called 'The Farm concert' and sung a song called the 'Taniwha song." It was fun talking into the microphone.
